The Stockplace is a successful women's clothing shop. Our aim is to provide women with beautiful, affordable, practical and quality clothing. Since our inception nearly three years ago we've created a strong brand, organically grown a large social media following, created a professional website, and built a loyal customer base. Our returning customer rate is 35%. We mainly purchase wholesale clothing and shoes, but we have also designed our own products over the last year. With the help of an employee, we hold and ship inventory ourselves to keep costs as low as possible. We work closely with social media influencers to attract and triggers customers. As two stay at home moms, our families are rapidly growing and we no longer have the time necessary to continue to grow this business to its potential.

March and November are always our biggest months! We do offer free shipping within the US, which incentivizes customers and keeps them coming back. We believe that this is worth the added cost of paying for shipping.

Business Expenses

Because of our recent growth we just had to upgrade our shopify and mailchimp plans, so those costs will remain constant for the foreseeable future. We also subscribe to an app called Back in Stock which prompts customers to leave their email address for sold out products and notifies them when the product is available again. This has proven to be very effective. We also subscribe to Tapfilliate ($69/month) which allows our social media influencers to earn a small commission for our products that are purchased through their personalized links.

Based on the buyers proximity we will coordinate for the transfer of inventory. A small portion of our inventory is for the upcoming fall seasons that aren't on our website yet. We are about to have our bi-annual warehouse sale to clear remaining end of season styles.

Why should someone buy this store?

We've built a large and loyal customer base in just three years, using Instagram as our main marketing tool. The potential growth for this store is huge as there are many marketing strategies that haven't even been explored. We also just added International shipping through a third party vendor. At no extra cost, our website automatically coverts currency and calculates shipping costs based on the customer's IP Address. This is such a fabulous tool but we haven't done any international marketing, so there is a huge opportunity for growth in International markets.

The future owner can improve this business by growing its Pinterest and Facebook following. SEO marketing and triggered ads would also be sources of great growth.

What work have you put into the store?

Blood, sweat, tears... really. We are raising 7 children between the two of us and have spent nearly every ounce of spare energy into growing this business.
