Why this business was started
We actually brought this from someone who'd like us ran out of time to dedicate and decided to focus on larger projects. However, once we saw the listing we processed a bid instantly based on the strength of the brand and the niche itself, being vegan ourselves it made sense. Once we took some time to look in to the range of products we have access to we saw the scope of potential to turn the brand into the platform that offered everything as much as it possibly could from home decor, bed sheets, kitchen ware to crystals, incense, drinking bottles and clothing.
The reason of selling this business
The sale comes at a point where our team is on the verge of expanding one of our larger companies into a new physical territory and the team we have grown at TVGS is one that we would like to bring with us. We want to be able to focus our best efforts and our time to growing our other company and can't commit to the TVGS. Although we expected this time to come, we want to begin the process sooner rather than later so that the brand does't fall out of the public eye and we can pass on an amazing opportunity for someone to either expand their ecommerce portfolio or begin their journey in the e-com world.
What's involved in running this business
TVGS like all dropshipping companies requires an understanding of how to operate the websites back office to be able to add/remove products create collections, apply discounts, process orders, refunds etc etc. Whilst freelancers and staff can be hired, expenses are reduced if you can do the following or are prepared to learn the following: Graphic/Content creation - using apps like canva is a really easy way to quickly created branded engaging content. Ad Campaigns - unless you're competent - hire someone, its worth the investment - more traffic means more sales. Email Campaigns - To create consistent email campaigns at targeted segments on the customer list.

Patience - (if you're new) Just because you're buying a established brand does not mean instant success for you, you will need to learn how to balance the many duties and know what and when to delegate.

SuppliersWe will be transferring everything including the email accounts which would give you access to the messaging platforms where previous communications have taken place. This is also includes the negotiations with manufacturers that would facilitate transitioning into purchasing physical stock. This gives you access to all of the apps connected to the shopify and the ali express accounts where great relationships with sellers have cultivated.
How to grow this business
Through email and social media marketing combined with great, consistent and empathic customer service TVGS have become a trusted brand in the social media sphere where the majority of the target audience reside.
Since trustworthiness has already been established as well as great relationships with the suppliers we have successfully sold with the next steps for expansion would require some advised steps as follows:
A continuously growing advertisement budget and an experienced campaign manager who is competent in delivering a ROAS of atleast x3.
A Social media campaign manager to ensure that the global audience are being engaged distributing the social media management amongst a small team.
Consistent email marketing. The audience is responsive, just keep them engaged, don't ALWAYS sell, sometimes offer them links to free documentaries, ebooks and relevant things of that nature!
As a dropshipping business when the day to days are kept in check and customer service is managed accordingly it's relatively self-managing.
The next logical steps in the businesses growth would be to transition from a dropshipping brand to a brand that holds stock of the best selling products and are fulfilled in-house. Relationships with the original manufacturers have been established and the information can be included in any transition. (Transitioning out of dropshipping is not essential or mandatory but it will increase profits and strengthen the brand.
ideally this is a brand that we would like to sell to people who're vegan, but not just those who adapt the dietary part of being a vegan, but one whose concerned about improving the world and sourcing products that are sustainable and not a huge strain on the earth where possible. This is what the audience has come to expect and would contribute to the companies ongoing success.
One other suggestion is that when assuming ownership of the brand that you select a cause that you believe in to support financially. The audience we have grown appreciate and have more time for brands that give back.
We will be running the store to keep the traffic ticking over, posting on social media to keep the account growing and processing orders so that we are able to hand over a store thats ready for a new injection of energy and attention we can no longer offer.
This means that we will handle ALL refunds, chargebacks, and customer service related issues for any issues that relate to orders before the handover.
Since the objective it to handover everything, for us to continue handling and issues that arise, we would request that the new owner makes us a staff account that we can use to respond to any customers.
Skills to have
Whilst dropshipping and the process of online sales is one that can be learnt quite quickly, it would be better suited to people who have experience managing websites, processing orders with apps like oberlo working with softwares like klaviyo etc etc. But i would like to repeat, the skills can be learnt very quickly and very easily with youtube/shopify and forums.
