Business Story

Why this business was started

I'm a young entrepreneur that loves challenges. Since I was only working 65 hours/week, I wanted to start another business that I could run part time. That's when I opened the catmarket.shop. The catmarket.shop is an online drop shipping business. This means that we never saw a single product. We would import it from AliExpress and put it on our site, then promote it on facebook or instagram and when the customer would order it from our site, we would simply use an app called Oberlo to order it from AliExpress.

The reason of selling this business

I first opened the catmarket.shop because I wanted a part time business that could be profitable quickly. I have 2 other businesses that take most of my time. I have a mortgage brokering business and a real estate business. I'm having problems with my real estate business and I know it's going to take me at least a couple of years to put everything back to normal. I'd have to work 120 hours/week to keep up and it is just impossible. So I prefer to just sell thecatmarket.shop and start a new E-commerce in a couple of years when everything is back to normal.

What's involved in running this business

The new owner would need to learn Facebook/Instagram ads, run advertising campaigns, fulfill orders, search new products, import those products, answer customers, etc. All of those thing can be done under 20 hours/week if done correctly, but the owner could put a lot more in advertising research.

Time to run this business: approximately 20 hours per week

Why buy a business on Exchange

Verified listing data

The revenue and traffic data that you see on each listing is pulled directly from its Shopify account. This means that the data has been verified. Exchange reviews and monitors listings for thorough and accurate information.

Secure messaging platform

You will be able to communicate with sellers via a secure messaging platform. After you log in and request information from a listing, sellers are notified and have the ability to respond. When you are ready, you can make an offer.

Encrypted payment capture

Exchange and Escrow.com have partnered together to provide you with safe transactions that have bank encryption, making sure that payment is securely captured. Escrow.com ensures that its users pass verification checks before transactions can proceed.

Take time to inspect the business

Once you submit payment to Escrow.com and the payment has been secured, the funds are held until you confirm that all assets received are as negotiated. You can use the inspection period to ask the seller any extra questions about the business.

Safe store transfer

When the transaction is finalized, the dedicated migration team at Exchange will begin the process of making you the new owner of the store. Buyers and sellers will be notified via an email from the Exchange team once store transfers have been completed.
