Back in 2019, I was creating a lot of instagram pages and growing them. This was one of the pages. I thought it had potential so I created shopify store for it.

I'm going abroad for studies next year. Also, for the last 16 months, I've spent a lot of time trading and I like it a lot more than ecommerce.

What's involved in running this business

Most of the products are sourced from china using a supplier. They have their own app. You can fulfill all orders with a few clicks. For print on demand, I use an app called fuel and the fulfillment process is automated. For the beauty products, the process is automated as well.

You would need to run ads, take care of the customers with good customer service, run the social media accounts etc.

Other details about profit: I've been running the same ads for 2 years now. So my ads are definitely suffering from ad fatigue. Not to mention, I've hardly used lookalike audiences. The only reason the store is still profitable even after me being lazy is because I spend a good amount of time on the social media accounts promoting the business.

    How to grow this business

    Recently, I added hundreds of makeup/skincare products to the store. Although I've not promoted them since it requires a subscription from the supplier. It's $400 a year. It didn't make much sense to pay the amount since I have been planning to sell the store. But yes, I would get the subscription and then send some samples to influencers to tiktok and insta. There are sellers on fiverr that can do the research and give you a list of influencers in the pride niche. That is going to be very profitable for you. All the beauty products are high quality and sourced from Canada.

    I would also create mobile apps for the store to generate more traffic. Especially for this brand, it's going to do great.

    I would also spend time and money into google ads. It's really untapped and there's a lot of potential for pride shop. A lot less competition. Even on FB ads, you won't find much competition really.

    Recently, FB removed interests from their targeting like pride, lgbt etc. So established businesses in the niche like mine are really great since you can use custom audiences using the customer lists, email etc.

    • Tiktok - I can't use tiktok since it's banned in India. Needless to say, this store has a lot of potential in tiktok.

    You need to know how to run social media accounts and run ads as well.
