Why this business was started
Tiki Paws started 7 years ago by four pet loving friends as a fun and unique pet store for fans of Tiki and Japanese lifestyle. We all loved our dogs and cats and enjoyed dressing them up in fun costumes. We especially appreciated the way Japan celebrates their furry friends. Two of our founders were also very active in the popular Tiki culture that has been gaining in popularity so we also brought in that influence, as well as surf culture since one of our founders is a surfer. We offered unique products that you couldn’t find at the big pet supply stores.
The reason of selling this business
After several years online, busy lifestyles, an amicable divorce between two of the founders, we decided to close out the business. We ultimately felt that it would be a shame to shut down forever so we’re offering it for sale.
What's involved in running this business
The store is fully-functional but could probably use a design update, using one of the new Shopify templates. 80 to 90 percent of products are drop shipped using several drop ship pet product partners. We will share that information with the buyer.

Better email marketing plan. We didn't send very many emails. We also own the scarypaws.com domain and were going to sell pet costumes, which proved to be very popular, especially around Halloween.
