Why this business was started

Some of my earliest memories are of building forts in my house - I loved crawling inside and having my own space to imagine and play. After having my 2 girls, it was important for me that they had a place to create their own worlds with their imaginations. Our teepees and tents are designed to be wonderful spaces that children can call their own. Spaces to play with toys, read favorite books, make art, play music or just curl up with a blanket and pillow for a nap.

The reason of selling this business

I am a mom of a toddler and a baby and run this growing business part time and completely by myself. While I love being a small business owner, I need more time to focus on my family at the moment. In addition, we recently had a close family member get a medical diagnosis that will mean we will be spending a lot more time traveling to her.

What's involved in running this business

Running Tnee's involves customer service, shipping, coming out with new teepee designs a few times a year, posting on social media (if desired), daily inventory updates to our national online trading partners Target and Wayfair.

Our busiest time of the year is the 4th quarter - we do about 40% of our revenue during this period. This shop sale on Exchange includes the sale of ALL portions of the business including Target, Wayfair, and Etsy. Our two domain have been paid through August 2020; the shopify plan has been paid through march 2020; and our customer service email has been paid through Aug 2020. Therefore there are reduced costs for the next year, as well as busiest sales time of year coming up.
