Business Story

Why this business was started

I have always wanted to sell apparel and unique jewelry pieces and I knew I wanted to launch a business of this kind as an online storefront selling to a focused niche. After doing some research, I discovered that the online Christian community was rapidly growing and there weren't many up-and-coming e-com brands strictly selling Christian-related apparel and jewelry. Thus, Treasure Faith was born and it has been an awesome journey ever since! :)

The reason of selling this business

Despite the immense potential I know that this brand has, I don't really care much to see it through, which is why I am trying sell this store to someone who take it through the roof and turn into a $10M+ revenue brand.

What's involved in running this business

The basic steps in running this business:

1) Managing Facebook Ads 2) Fulfilling orders on Nimble (better version of Oberlo) 3) Replying to customer emails on Zendesk

Other things you can do to expand brand growth like I mentioned:

4) Reaching out to influencers on TikTok and IG and setting up influencer campaigns. 5) Creating and pushing email marketing campaigns to increase LTV.

As I mentioned before, virtually every one of these tasks can easily be outsourced by hiring someone on UpWork to do them for you.

Side Note: I have Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for fulfillment and customer service that I'm more than happy to share to help you with the hiring process.

This business was founded: about 2 years ago
Time to run this business: approximately 10 hours per week

Other details about profit: My total revenue from inception is so far $451K (see photos), so the actual average monthly revenue is ~$23K, thus the average monthly profit at a 20% margin is $4,567. My marketing expenditure on Treasure Faith has been on and off; the store's revenue for October 2021 was ~$84K (see photos) at a profit margin of 20%. That's ~$17K in profit for the month of October alone. And in the time that I've managed the store, profit margins highly depend on the performance of ads and time of year, so there are days where I'll hit 30 - 40% profit margins if ads are performing really well, but it generally averages at about 20%. In addition, my ad creatives haven't changed much in the past 1.5 years, so with new, creative marketing approaches you can surely expect to see higher profit margins like 30 - 40% on a consistent basis.

    Seller‘s Advice

    How to grow this business

Over the next five years, in 3 major ways:

    1) Scaling the brand's marketing efforts with TikTok and IG influencer campaigns. 2) Building out a robust email marketing campaign to increase Lifetime Value (LTV) of customers. 3) Focus on building a better, more appealing brand with awareness campaigns, modeling Elevated Faith (elevatedfaith.com).

    1) I would scale the brand by focusing on building a large influencer network on TikTok and Instagram. Some of the most popular products on Treasure Faith are the Rolo Chain Bracelet and the Be The Light sweater. Both of these products (particularly the bracelet) get plenty of inbound from real influencers asking for samples to promote the product on their page. I haven't done a single paid influencer campaign for this store, so there's insane untapped potential here.

    2) I would also build out a robust email marketing campaign to increase the Lifetime Value (LTV) of existing customers and future customers that make a purchase. This is one element of the business I haven't really touched and I have over 25,000 customer emails that I haven't used for any email campaigns—my marketing focus on the store has primarily been spent on Facebook and Instagram ads—so there's massive unrealized gains here, especially with the holidays coming around. I would make a big push for "stocking stuffers" for the bracelets that we sell.

    3) I would also put a major emphasis on establishing Treasure Faith as a legitimate brand in the Christian e-com space and potentially running awareness campaigns to get more eyes on the site. As a guide, I would model what Christian apparel brand Elevated Faith (elevatedfaith.com) has done. One look at their store and you'll see why they're one of the more successful Christian-based e-com stores in the space. Their appeal to the younger Christian demographic (ages 18-34) has massive upside: 1) You're selling to a market (young Christians) that currently don't have a lot of options online to purchase unique Christian pieces. 2) The general "cool" factor of the brand and the products they sell can also be appealing to an older Christian audience (Treasure Faith's customer base) that want to "keep up with the times".

    Skills to have

I would say the new owner should have a general background in the e-commerce space. The store has all the cogs set up to be fully automated and only require general oversight by the owner. Currently, the things I manage on the store is fulfillment through Nimble (works similar to Oberlo, but 10x better), customer service on Zendesk, and managing Facebook Ads on Facebook Ads Manager. Every one of these tasks can easily be outsourced by hiring someone on UpWork who has the right qualifications.
