Why this business was started

I am a fashionista at heart and love trendy, stylish clothing. I am always mindful of the latest fashion trends and have a good eye for different types of styles. I previously sold clothing on eBay, Poshmark, and Etsy and loved the idea of drop shipping. After learning the ins and outs of it, I decided to create my own store, rather than give a cut of my profits to these sites.

The reason of selling this business

I am a teacher of 20 years working on a second Master's degree. I have always had a passion for having my own online boutique, and I am very proud of the work that has been put in to this website. However, in my profession and in my studies, I have become very busy in the last six months. I no longer have the time to put in to keeping this website successful and I need to sell it to someone who can.

What's involved in running this business

I used a drop shipping app to find the clothing listed in my store and imported those listings onto my website. Once those listings were imported, most of my work was done. You may use this app to import as many more listings as you like, as well as change the pricing. Once someone places an order, I place the order with the supplier and ship it to my customer. I keep an eye on the tracking through [REDACTED] until the item is delivered. In terms of the general appearance of the store, I have had a web developer create the layout and I have found pictures for the main site that are changed every season. The pictures and captions are already stored under the customization links for your convenience. I change them at the beginning of every [REDACTED] 10 minutes tops.

    If I had the time, I think the store could grow exponentially through social media marketing and advertising. The type of clothing I sell is on-trend and stylish, and it appeals to women of various ages. Someone with strong Instagram or Facebook accounts could really help this store bring in lots of revenue.

    Skills to have

    Trendsology is built around the drop shipping model, so now that the listings are visible, there is very little the owner has to do until a sale is made. There is no requirement to purchase inventory up front. When a sale is made, I place the order with the supplier, keep an eye on the tracking, and my work is done.
