Tumble is a beta test for an on-demand Wash & Fold laundry company. The site, logo, brand, and domain name were developed by former employees of a Canadian tech company that was acquired for $200M in 2016.
The site was parked as other startup initiatives were undertaken by the team, after this beta test was performed. In a short period of time, the store generated a modest amount of revenue to test the order process and gained early-stage customers.
There's opportunity to grow an on-demand laundry platform, and undertake a similar strategy that the former tech team executed on before their company was acquired.
How can the future owner improve the business?
The unit economics of the company will improve with scale. As such, scale is the key to growing this site. With scale, city launches, proper marketing, and re-orders from customers, the site is quite sustainable with high margins.
What work have you put into the store?
Developed brand, infrastructure, logistics routing, and payment processing for on-demand scheduling.
