Why this business was started

I started this business because I wanted to grow my skills in digital marketing and e-commerce. I tried to choose a demographic that wasn't too saturated and had an opportunity for growth. I chose activewear for girls. Then it turned into leotards and t-shirts for girls who play sports. I'm happy I was able to learn more about starting an online store.

The reason of selling this business

I have decided to sell this store because I'm not fully interested in the products. But it has a small following and people are becoming more interested every week in what the store has to offer. Instead of just closing it down, I want to see if there's an opportunity to hand it over to someone who has the time, desire and skills to turn this store into what it could really be.

What's involved in running this business

Right now all I have is an Instagram account I post to and 5 ambassadors I work with under the ambassador program. I have a Facebook account set up, but I've never posted or promoted the page. I ship the product from home, so packaging and shipping would be involved in the beginning. Keeping up with new inventory and launches from the leotard vendor as well.

    How to grow this business

    The store currently has 5 ambassadors, and more people would love to become ambassadors. I would say to change the ambassador program a bit, and then keep growing that. The next thing I would do is try ads and create your own content with the products. Other growth opportunities are email marketing and giveaways

    Skills to have

    The store's main target are girls who play sports, specifically gymnastics. It would be great if the new owner had a daughter who is in gymnastics, cheer or dance. Then you could create more marketing with her and her friends. And you would have first hand knowledge of what the girls go through at practice and competitions.
