Why this business was started
E-Commerce became a hobby due to my strong skill set in sales. I discovered the method of Drop shipping by taking courses and becoming familiar with it's work flow and how it can be achieved through the creation of a Shopify store with such ease. Testing products and finding "winning" products has been an exciting process to say the least. The store has a lot of potential to grow exponentially but one must have the time to do so (can easily be done even with a full-time day job).
The reason of selling this business
I am a full-time healthcare provider, investor, and own real-estate that does take up a majority of my time. This store has not consistently been profitable due to myself not being able to efficiently manage it. New products need to be tested regularly and in all honesty I did not have time to do this for numerous periods of time. The logo, theme, content, and brand assets are all worth investing in. This store has maintained significant traffic in the top 5% of all Shopify stores that launched at the same time of its launch 2.5 years ago.
What's involved in running this business
It is overall a simple business model: 1) Using Oberlo app through Shopify to fulfill orders through suppliers on AliExpress (integrated within Oberlo) on a daily basis 2) Researching products via Google keyword planner and other platforms and then testing various product categories to find best sellers and "winning" products. There are many programs to help you perform this task as well as tools through Oberlo that provide free video tutorials and training to help. 3) Running advertising campaigns through Google Shopping Ads, Facebook Ads, Tik Tok Ads, Instagram Ads. 4) Engaging customers by regularly emailing newsletters and sending discount codes will promote growth and create further traffic. 5) Adding more product categories and products within the categories since it is a general merchandise store and not a niche store.

Tik Tok Ads, Instagram Ads, Facebook Ads, Google Shopping Ads, and email marketing are the tactics I would use to grow this store to its previous sales levels and beyond. Google Shopping Ads have worked well for the store in the past (most sales have come from Google Ads). The Shopify store also contains 1500+ email addresses of previous customers that have opted to receive marketing communications. The E-Commerce store sells general merchandise from an A to Z list of categories, which I have found to be more fulfilling than having a niche store. This allows one to cater to all types of customers in need of products.
Skills to have
Having experience with Shopify, Oberlo app for fulfilling orders, running Google Campaign Ads and Facebook Ads, having social media business accounts on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. Fulfilling email marketing campaigns by creating newsletters and sending discount codes will also help increase your page views. Having strong customer support skills will also promote sales and satisfaction.
