Business Story

Why this business was started

I have opened many dropshipping stores and it has become second nature to open a store when I find some products that are salesworthy. How I stumbled upon wallpapers is about 5 months ago I was buying random products from [REDACTED] and ended up randomly buying some wallpapers for the first time in my life. After receiving the wallpaper I was impressed at how easy the installation was and how much nicer it made the room. And so I began searching for more wallpapers for another room and had to go through around a thousand wallpapers before choosing. I ended up purchasing some from Aliexpress because that style, I could not find on the US websites I'm familiar with, such as Amazon, eBay, home depot Wal mart, etc... And I found there were many very nice styles available on the Chinese dropshippable websites (Aliexpress, gearbeat, etc. ) and not available on US markets. So I found an opportunity to supply a superior product to the American markets (shopify , eBay, amazon, etc) and in exchange hope for some modest compensation.

The reason of selling this business

I'm trying to sell this business for the following reasons amongst others-

I've decided I would like to leave the dropshipping model.

Despite the impressive potential sales potential I see from my site vouswall.com , I believe it will be too stressful for me for many reasons , one of them being that unlike many products wallpaper is a little complicated to sell and it seems like there is a lot of communication exchange between the business and customer before a sale.

I seems to have very little motivation for money which makes it a little challenging to push through when I find myself getting bored.

I believe from the response I've seen that this store will be quite profitable but regrettably I don't think I can make that happen .

What's involved in running this business

You could add more products for example or stick with the current products and have 1 less thing to do. Other than that there is a lot of things you have to do to be honest. If you buy it I am definitely ready to try to guide and direct you to the best of my capabilities, I believe I have a very good idea of what needs to be done, I just don't feel like doing it.

    Seller‘s Advice

    How to grow this business

I was exploring many options, but ultimately I believe it would spread through word of mouth. I have some products listed locally on the app whats app and have gotten a lot of interest locally and when I go to their house or business they are extremely impressed when they see the quality in person. Ultimately I want to avoid ads, emails, sms marketing and annoying people, I believe for the next 5 years I would just make sure the products are up to date on the website eBay, Amazon,, wish and just sit back and relax as it cooks. I wouldn't spend any money on ads and my sales approach would be nothing more than the products speaking for themselves . Right now it's still in the preparation process, and would probably take me another 20 hours at 2 hours /week to enter the cooking process and sit back and relax for around 6 months to a year with cutting your time spent to 1 hour /week doing things like responding to a customer or two per week, maybe making a sale every couple weeks. Some people will buy during the cooking process because they like it a little raw, but your still in relaxed downhill during the cooking time. After a year has past it should likely be cooked to perfection at this point and time required could jump up to 20+ hours/ week for customer service and processing orders (sending orders you recieve to the supplier). Well hopefully once you reach 1.5 years you can be profitable enough to hire a team which can get you back to that 1 hour per week if you like or you could keep dedicating yourself to it if you are enjoying it.

    Skills to have

While working on this I purchased a csv file containing over 100 million US cell phone numbers with the name and address of the owner which I can include if interested
