What is required to keep the business operational?

Regular marketing, either via Instagram influencers (high ROI) or Facebook advertising (low effort). Aliexpress order fulfillment and occasional customer support.

Why are you selling the business?

When this brand was initially launched, we were so passionate about it, and it was quite profitable. We left it on the backburner for a while, then recently we started re-engaging with customers and came up with a business strategy to grow it. We love this business and want to see it succeed.

However, we are starting a private-label business that is accelerating faster than we can keep up. We need to sell this business to get cash to invest into inventory for our other one.
How does the business generate revenue?

Customers buy products on our site, then we order the product to the customer via Aliexpress. [Dropshipping]

We started testing Clickfunnels and found that average cart value increases 3-4x, so we advise focusing on building out more funnels.

What marketing initiatives have been used for this business?

Primarily Instagram influencer advertising with influencers in the 10-200k follower range. Most of them received free products with a story behind the product, though some were paid shoutouts. We have good relationships - many are happy to share our products and provide testimonials/photos. We just sent out some new products from our store, so we'll be seeing shoutouts for them soon.

With the pixel installed in Shopify and the funnel, Facebook ads are a good option as well. If you email the mailing list a few times per week, you could easily generate $1500 a month from email marketing (using the typical estimate of $1 per customer).

Financials and traffic

When we were very active with engaging influencers and sending them products to shout out (July), we earned ~$3500 in a month. We had a smaller campaign in November, netting $800. Our site and social media following has been built out further with new content, new funnels (more products in each transaction), and more customer engagement (emails). We also expanded the store from two products to 30+ vegan products. The potential is there to earn (tens of) thousands per month by reaching out to influencers and/or using Facebook advertising.

We tried Clickfunnels in April and found that average cart value jumps significantly! The subscription would be $30 or $99 per month, depending on which you use, if you choose to go that route. It is separate from the Shopify store though, so we could disable the account until you want to use it.

Why should someone buy this store?

You are getting a beautifully-built store with a brand following. It is up and running. You can focus on the marketing instead of building, sourcing, etc.

We already tested the concept. We have a proven plan to make a profit and a suggested plan to grow the business, so someone who has time and also believes in the company can grow it to be earn thousands per month. With the addition of Facebook ads and email advertising, this could be a six figure business. All that is needed is the time and willingness to work.

How can the future owner improve the business?

Our suggested strategy would be:

  1. Build out a second or third funnel for brushes, other jewelry, etc. in our store.

  2. On the Thank You page for the funnels, link to the other funnels in case customers want other products.

  3. Send emails 2-3x a week with content but also encouraging customers to check out the funnels.

  4. Use Instagram shoutouts to drive traffic to each funnel. Alternate products/funnels each time you use the same influencer.

  5. Once you have enough traffic data, launch Facebook ads to automate marketing.

  6. Scale up Facebook advertising so that you are earning more money.

  7. (Optional) Get a virtual assistant to fulfill the orders.
