Why this business was started

I always been a fan of candles and wax melts and saw a niche in the market for these type of melts and candles. It has been evident with our success on social media that my intuition was correct.

The reason of selling this business

The business has grown massively in the time since I set up and due to health reasons I am unable to devote the time needed to push forward with growth and expansion. I currently do the whole business from home from a workshop in my garden and it has also got to the point where we are out growing the space. We only have a small home!!

What's involved in running this business

Making candles and wax melts - full training given and machinery to aid this. all supplies included. Social media posts on the page which is all set up and following a strict schedule for ease. Ordering supplies when needed. Picking and packing the orders to the customers. Customer service Currently we do not need to advertise but should you wish to advertise for more growth then advertising and marketing would also be needed.

After 6 months you will be expected to know everything to continue yourselves.

    Seller‘s Advice

    Skills to have

    There would have to be about 1 weeks training into how to make our products and run the business. This will be in person at Milton Keynes. This is very easy and step by step instructions along with all the equipment . No skills needed. You would also be required to have knowledge of social media marketing and using Canva for social media posts ( although a similar program such as photoshop would be useful instead) Book keeping and accounts would be down to the new owner although this can be outsourced to an accountant if needed. The email list program we use is called Klaviyo and training will also be included to show how this works. We are a husband and wife team and have a member of staff helping with all aspects of the business full time. Although this is not necessary we liked to leverage our time with help. I assume as the business is growing that the buyer would also like to take on some staff to help with certain aspects of running the business.
