**Yansa only launched to the public on July 1st. Yansa, an online store based in San Diego, California, was started as a fashion platform for women who want exclusively curated and handmade clothing that is inspired by different cultures. Unique pieces that will always make you the star of every room. I work with African designers to create prints and designs that you can only find at my store. When a customer purchases from Yansa, they're wearing an outfit that looks like it was bought while on vacation to an exotic country. The shop launched on July 1st, 2018. Unfortunately, due to personal family medical reasons I have to close the store and move back home to Ghana. All images are of great quality and feature scenic shots for an aspirational look as well as in studio detail shots. Yansa has an expertly curated Instagram page that features a collage of scenic shots and social media influencers. The Instagram page really captures the tropical and exotic aesthetic of Yansa. There are also Facebook and Pinterest pages for Yansa. All inventory, including the handmade pieces from Africa, are held in the Yansa office. When customers purchase from Yansa, every item ships from San Diego. Inventory, as well as the trademarked company name, domain name, and all social media will be included in the sale. To attract customers, we use Instagram, Facebook, and Google Ads, email marketing campaigns, and also work with social media influencers who can style Yansa pieces in an editorial manner that is aligned with the Yansa aesthetic. This online store was created to provide exclusive clothing to women who appreciate bright, colorful, and statement making clothing while empowering artisans and independent designers in Africa. It was a seriously difficult decision to close the store down so I can move back home to Ghana to help my mother out for medical reasons. I set this store up and invested a lot in it so to be closing down only after a month of launching pains me deeply, but there are things in life that we cannot control.
Yansa has a huge potential. There is an increased awareness for ethically made clothes that don't break the bank and still look like affordable luxury. Yansa fits into that sweet spot.
Continued social media awareness and partnerships with other vendors and the right social media influencers would help continue to grow the international community that has slowly started following Yansa's growth. The interest in Yansa spans from customers in Australia, Ireland, Brazil, and the US among others.
I have a relationship with established apparel and accessory designers in West Africa who make amazing handcrafted items whose quality is right on par with the couturiers of Paris. I will pass on these relationships once the store is sold. Yansa has an expertly curated Instagram page and promotions with social media influencers. Ad dollars have been spent on curating the right target audience for Yansa's Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest page. There are ongoing Google ads. There are beautiful scenic editorial product shots that were shot in different parts of Africa. As part of the sale, branded packaging materials and postcards with Hi-Def Yansa logos and editorial shots will also be given to the buyer. The Domain and email list (mailchimp) will also be given to the buyer.
