I got into snap jewelry as a "cheap MBA". Originally I wanted to make customizable leashes and collars and found snap jewelry, loved it, and started Yoshi-Bella (named after my dog).
I sell in four main channels - online, through consultants, wholesale and at local shows. Many of my wholesale and consultant customers are repeat buyers.
Included in the sale is all inventory (Valued at $5400 USD). I have been holding inventory and shipping from an office. My suppliers have low minimum inventory quantity orders and also reasonable custom order MOQ.
Included in the sale is the domain for Facebook Business site, Instagram and Twitter. I am currently mainly active on Pinterest, Facebook and Instagram. Pinterest has been a great lead source for me but I have not used it to its full potential.
Robust series of email campaigns are created for lead, customer, and wholesale lead and customer.
I am selling the business to focus on speaking, which is where my natural talents are. I am not realizing Yoshi-Bella's full potential, as I am not as interested in the operations side as I was in growing the brand.
I am based in Calgary Alberta Canada.

Inventory is small, easy to ship. Shipping costs to customer are low.
Someone who loves jewelry, and offering women the chance to connect to their own unique style. Whimsical, fun and affordable, the target demographic is 45-50+, women who don't care about brands.
Also margins are very high!
How can the future owner improve the business?
Needs a more rigourous sales cycle, and a cohesive and tight inventory plan. I made the mistake of offering too wide a selection and now I'm left with the inventory.
What work have you put into the store?
I do all the photography, copy, product description, photo editing and all of the newsletters. I've built a brand around authentic, personal service. I have nurtured relationships with wholesale buyers and I am proud of my brand message of being unique, true to yourself and expressing yourself.
How many hours does it take to run this business per week?
I'm a veterinarian with an entrepreneur side. I had a service based business and wanted to sell a physical product. I came across Snap Jewelry in 2013 while researching a different product and the design style and price point interested me.
