Why this business was started

I started this business because i wanted to escape the 9 - 5 and have the freedom to travel with a successful online business. I wanted to generate a new income stream that would allow me to be my own boss. I decided to go with intimates and sleepwear because it was a light product, cheap to ship, can be reposted by women across social media, and easily infused into influencer content. I successfully lived the lifestyle i envisioned with this business for many years living in Bali, and travelling the world whilst growing the brand. In 2020 I had a showroom in Byron Bay but with covid restrictions decided to close it down and be strictly online.

After building ZAHLII up for 5 years, I have simply lost my passion for the business and found more joy in other projects that I have.

What's involved in running this business

I have set up the store so its completely online. I have just recently signed with a fulfilment centre based in Hong Kong who will hold stock and ship orders for you (and save on shipping costs). To run this business you will be designing and seeking inspiration for new collections. I have a designer who creates my tech packs for me, and you will have access to my manufactures across China and Bali. You will be handling customer service, and posting regularly on social media to keep up a strong brand presence to our loyal following. You will be creating campaigns, and organising photoshoots. The business is well automated and im happy to run through everything with potential buyer so they are set to takeover.

    How to grow this business

    To grow this business I would advise to invest in influecner marketing, social media giveaways, and Tik Tok marketing. With the way the world is now intimates/sleepwear/loungewear is in high demand.

    Skills to have

    I would recommend social media skills and obviously have a taste for designing cute loungewear and intimates. These skills can always be outsourced though.
