Following doing a digital marketing course in college, I decided to put a site together and begin selling phone accessories. I always had an interest in buying stock from Chinese sellers and reselling for a profit on eBay, amazon etc, but decided to create my own store selling accessories using drop shipping to reduce shipping costs.
I have decided to sell this business because I am in the process of trying to obtain a mortgage. I see the key to making this site profitable would be to acquire physical stock levels so I can offer a short delivery time on products, as people are quite interested in my products but the delay from Chinese suppliers of up to 5/6 weeks in some cases are proving to be off-putting for customers. A small stock level would allow for fast shipping times but regrettably my finances are now under scrutiny for my mortgage process and I am unable to purchase this stock on my credit cards.
To run this business involves fulfilling orders, ordering from suppliers, researching new ideas for products and running advertising campaigns. When a new product gets listed, (I import all products from Oberlo as order fulfilment can be automatically processed with a few simple clicks for each order) I customise each items wording to make it sound consistent with my wording on this site, and I also customise SEO in each.

I would purchase physical inventory and have stock ready to ship on demand, instead of using my current drop-shipping methods. I know people have interest in my products I list from the positive and plentiful response from my advertising campaigns, but some feedback I have received is that shipping times are just too long. Most items can be purchased for 2 dollars from my suppliers, and sold for up to 10, so acquiring stock would be achievable, and the prices of the items could be further marked up to cover costs of me shipping them to buyers after I receive stock.
An interest in phones, their different models and variants would be good, but not essential, as all information can always be looked up. A little knowledge on social media marketing would be ideal too, as the products would need some advertising in the appropriate places. For example - an item I advertise is a waterproof bicycle phone case with pouches - I targeted my advertisement via Facebook to those who cycled, and in 2 days my advert had received 200 likes, numerous shares, and some enquiries. (again shipping times seem to turn customers off)
